The Whisky Shop Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Finish

This is a new single malt whisky from Laphroaig distillery on Islay; a peated 10-year-old expression which has been finished in aromatic Oloroso sherry casks. The whisky is first aged in European Oak sherry casks which are carefully selected to give the typical Laphroaig style, and the additional finish in Oloroso casks gives a nutty and sweet complexity. The result is a well-balanced whisky that intertwines strong peat with rich fruits perfectly, and is bottled at 48% abv.

Sweet medicinal peat notes give way to honey sweetness, cloves and smoked bacon. A sweet and aromatic palate, with creamy chocolate and polish, leading to a long, sweet and spicy finish.
