Outer space collisions can cause planetary fragments to propel through space at astounding speeds, plummeting to Earth. These planetary fragments, known as “meteorites,” may create bright fireballs as they pass through Earth’s atmosphere and are capable of leaving large craters on their impact sites. The origin of this meteorite can be traced back to the planet Mars.
