N. Peal | The King of Cashmere
Famous for their exquisite Mongolian cashmere, N. Peal has become a favorite amongst those who know style and comfort. Founded in 1936 by Nat Peal as a men’s haberdasher, in the same boutique at the Burlington Arcade the occupy today, Mr. Peal gained popularity as “The British King of Cashmere” thanks to the knitwear he sourced form the Shetlands during the War.
Today, N. Peal continues its tradition of offering the most luxurious cashmere wears in London. Everything, from their traditional cable sweaters to their socks, can be traced back to the finest Mongolian goats, allowing N. Peal to control quality from heard to finished luxury garment.
Throughout its fabled history, N. Peal has amassed a cult-like following that includes celebrities like Sofia Loren, who is rumored to have consoled herself in buying an N. Peal sweater after her jewels were stolen.
